Week 2 In Stellenbosch!

This last week has been interesting and I've learned a lot.  I've never biked so much in my life and in my area we have to bike up basically the mountain lol, but i didn;t crash my bike this week so that was a W.  I've talked to a ton of crazy people who are really funny but completely out of their minds.  Also we almost got robbed in the township in our area which is called Kayamandi we're only supposed to be there until 5 but we got caught there later because of our lesson and then started biking out at like 7. But our phone was also dead so we got lost for like an hour until it was dark.  Guys started yelling at us in a language idk but whatever they were saying it was not good lol. They would like run after you for a sec then stop. It was really annoying.  But the only part that made me nervous was a couple guys followed us for like 10 mins until we finally found our way out. We made it out safe but I learned that defenitaly what not to do hahah . But I've also talked to a lot of people who I feel that Heavenly Father has prepared for us to meet and to teach.

However it is hard to get people to church in our area because Stellenbosch is a new area and the closest church is like 20ish minutes away.  It's hard because the people we teach are usually college students because this is a college town so most don't have cars.  What we're trying to do is start a group and a student center here like an institute class.  But that's been hard to get rolling. Hopefully we can get it started.

Elder Haas and I play pass every morning and shoot a little bit with tennis balls on this small foldable soccer goal.  It's really nice and helps me keep my stick skills up for lacrosse.   Also at night I get a good workout in.  It nice to be able to talk about lacrosse and the other person understand what you're saying.

I dont really like street contacting so much I honestly like door knocking better.  A lot of people let us in actually to share our message which is nice.  Church this week was great it was testimony meeting and I felt the spirit so much during that meeting and I had to share my testimony about god answering our prayers which was weird because I don't really love having to talk in front of so many people let alone volunteer for it but I just did it anyways I felt like I needed to share maybe someone needed to hear what I had to say idk hahah.  We also went over for lunch with a member and gave her a blessing as well bc she's had health issues.  She was one of the most faithful women I've ever met and she literally had almost nothing it's really humbling to see.

We also got to watch parts of the big rugby game this p day it was South Africa vs New Zealand and South Africa beat them.  Rugby is a very physical sport some people it looked like they literally died on the field hahahah but it was cool to be able to watch some of it.

But yeah this week had a lot going on we're teaching a lot which is good helps me get more experience.  Hopefully with time I'll be able to really start to love what I'm doing here and i know if I ask god to help me and try my best that I will.  A scripture that I love that one of my boys serving in LA Elder Kofe sent me was 3 Nephi 32-33. Anyways I love and miss you all
