Stellies Week 15
Hey guys this week was good! We got a lot of work done so that made the week fly by. Also, I think I going to start making my emails shorter because I feel like they've been super long lol.
A couple funny things that happened this week were one street contacting in the middle of town we saw a homeless guy who was practically naked. He had pants that has a hug hole in the butt and he had his other stuff hanging out the front. So that was disturbing, funny, but also sad because I felt bad for him. Another thing was again street contacting as we were talking to a guy who was interested a normal looking college student jumped out of the bushes making a ton of weird sounds and running around in circles around us, would run away and then come back and do it again. I think he was on LSD or some kind of drug like that. Also, one morning after our workouts there was like 50 dudes all wearing traditional African clothing walking through the street chanting thing in Xhosa. So that was interesting. The things you see in Africa just nothing else like it, hahahaha.
On a more spiritual note, though we had so much success finding people this week. All of it came from street contacting. The beginning of the week I had to still drag Elder Haas along with me. But I think he noticed it's been bugging me so he's been more willing lately which is awesome. But one day in between lessons we found 18 people in 1 hour alone that gave us their numbers and were interested in more discussions. So, this next week we have days full of lessons and so I’m excited about that. It's really awesome to see that when both companions are working hard how much success you can have. And it's really nice to not have to always be dragging him along with me.
Teaching here in Stellenbosch is still a lot of people wanting to Bible bashing hahaha. Which is fun and I’m learning a lot. But like 85% of our lessons are with protestants who just want to bash. SO, I’m hoping some of these new people are not like that because I like the lessons more when it's not just an argument, ya’ know, lol. But we do have some awesome people we're teaching our guy John, who’s still progressing very well and our friend Z who is grasping everything super-fast. Those are our 2 stars at the moment and then the rest I’m not sure yet because we kind of got a new teaching pool at the moment, but I feel like there could be a lot of potential. Also, our bikes still are not fixed so we've been walking so much it's been just wonderful …. lol.
We had a super fun p day today. We had a combined zone activity. We went to camps bay beach and had a football game in the sand. It was so much fun. We played some ultimate frisbee too.
Spiritual thought:
There is this quote by President Russell M. Nelson that says "Ask your heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, how He feels about you and your mission here on earth. If you ask with real intent, over time the Spirit will whisper the life-changing truth to you. . . I promise you that when you begin to catch even a glimpse of how your Heavenly Father sees you and what He is counting on you to do for him, your life will never be the same."
This quote really hit me I thought it this was super powerful. Because that is something that's been on my mind a lot. Like what does Heavenly Father want me to do for him and am I on the right path to be able to do what he wants me to do. It's something that I’ve been praying a lot about. And it's grown my testimony of prayer a lot because lately especially these last few weeks where I’ve been leading the companionship and getting us to work harder. It's at the moments when I’m working my hardest that I feel so much joy and excitement about this wonderful work. And I feel so much love and comfort from Heavenly Father, and I just know this is exactly where He needs me to be right now and that I’m on the right path to do what Heavenly Father wants me to do. So, I invite anyone who reads this to pray and ask God how he feels about you and your mission here on earth. And he will answer you I can promise you that.
Things I miss:

Dogs who don’t have aids and that don’t want to kill you
I love and miss all of you!
