Balled Too Hard

Yo - I hope you all had a good new year’s. Crazy it's already 2023 and that this week I hit 6 months.

The biggest thing that happened this week was Elder Howard broke his hand playing basketball. Thursday our friend that we've been teaching invited us to come play basketball with him and his friends. So, we pulled up and all was going well. Until I went up to get a rebound. When I came back down Elder Howard tried to poke the ball out as I went back up to put it In. And somehow, he got his hand stuck in my arm and it got like twisted or something. Anyways we heard a gross snap and his hand started to swell up.

That night we took him to the hospital we were there until 11 at night, it took forever. And then on Saturday we took him in to get surgery because he completely broke it, wasn't just a fracture. So, the days since I've just been helping him recover.

As far as missionary work goes, we had a great lesson with our friends Averil and his wife Margaret. And also found an interesting family who we had the opportunity to give their sick daughter a blessing that was a cool experience.

Not much else happening right now other than that. Transfers are coming up soon so we'll see what happens.

A scripture I liked this week is D&C 84:88
"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."

Just a good reminder that God sends his angels to us to help us lift us up. And to help push us along. On my mission I've felt angels around me helping me. And I know when we're in times of need Heavenly Father sends them to help us.

RIP Utes … for real that made me sad.

Love and miss you all!
