Monkey Town
-Yo, this week was long lol. We got transfer news this week and my President told me that I'll be staying in Stellenbosch for one more transfer. Which honestly, I'm not too excited about. Just because I've been here the entire time. Which is 6 months and by the end of my last transfer here it'll be 7 1/2 months Which is crazy. But the Lord needs me where he needs me even if I don't want what He wants. But I'm going to honestly try and make the most of this last transfer In Stellenbosch because he told me he'll be sending me somewhere the opposite of Stellenbosch work wise.
-The best part of this week was on P-day. We went to a place called Monkey Town and it was so awesome. We got to walk around and look at all different kinds of monkeys and primates. We also got to hold a yellow boa constrictor, which was awesome. The best part was getting to feed the little monkeys and having them jump all over us. Yo, that made me so happy!!
-But work wise this week we have been GRINDING Facebook. Because my companion broke his hand and had surgery last week that's all we can kind of do. I've just kind of been helping him heal as fast as possible. But I don't like doing Facebook at all, it's so boring. We did have a really cool lesson this week with a guy we found on Facebook. His name is Givemore and he seems super prepared and asks awesome genuine question. He's from Zimbabwe, so it's not a surprise he's awesome. People from there are amazing. So, I guess Facebook does work sometimes.
-Spiritual thought this week. Honestly, I was pretty upset about transfer news. Just because I've been in one of the hardest areas in my mission for so long and I was just done and excited to move on to something new. But got the news I was staying in my interview with President. And at first, I was mad. I've been praying a lot for a new area and I thought I was going to get it. But something I realized is that what I want is not always what I need. The Lord needs me here for one reason or another. Could be to find a certain person, family, or maybe to help my comp heal and get back to 100%. But whatever it is, I'm going to find the purpose for why the Lord needs me in this area this transfer. But something I know to be true is that God puts us places or around certain people where we can learn and grow. There are no coincidences with God.
But anyways love and miss y’all!
