Naye And Amyoli Get Dunked
Yo, this week was hectic. Sunday, we got to baptize our friends Naye and Amyoli which was awesome! I had the opportunity to baptize Naye. That was special. The water was so cold, we baptized them outside in a font and it took your breath away. Illinge ward doesn't watch conference until the week after because they don't have internet. They have to download it afterwards and watch it a week later. So, I only got to see some of the morning sessions.
This week we got the opportunity to eat “smiley”, which is literally just the whole head of the animal. We had a pig and sheep head. The sheep head was wayyy better than the pig head. The pig head was just so fatty. I had to try it, but honestly, it's not that good, lol. The pig snout was my least favorite.
Also, we got transfer news this week. My comp and I were expecting to stay another transfer together. But, we got a call at like 10 that elder Summers is leaving and going back to Cape Town. And I'm training an Elder from Madagascar. His name is soooo long I have no idea how to pronounce it. I'm lowkey worried he doesn't know how to speak English, so we'll see hahahaha.
Another thing that happened to us this week. We found some newborn baby kittens on the side of the street. We found 3 of them, 1 was already dead, but the other 2 were still alive. There was no mamma cat or anybody in sight. So, we scooped them up and dropped them off at the closest vet.
I really enjoyed President Nelson's talk on being a peacemaker. It's a great reminder for us to not judge, criticize, and talk badly of others. To be that example of the spirit to those around us. To hopefully lift them up to feel the love of God. Choose Charity not contention.
Love ya'll
