Lihle's Baptism

-This week went by fast. The highlight of the week was the baptism of Lihle this past Sunday, which was super special. She is definitely one of the most prepared people I've had the opportunity to teach. And the baptism is always more special when you get to teach them from the beginning to the end. The water was absolutely freezing though hahaha. She was having a hard time calming down and staying still. So, the 1st counselor brother Mjiba and I had to get down next to the font and help her calm down. She eventually did and we were able to have the baptism. She practically jumped out of the font after the baptism hahaha. It was so cold though; we had to use rainwater to fill it up. But it was still super Spiritual.

-Something interesting that happened this week was during a member lesson with mama Nthlebi, who we've visited before, but this time her son was there. And at first, I thought he was just a normal dude. Then he started talking to us and I could barely hear what he was saying, he talked super quiet. We could only hear a word here and there the rest was just inaudible. And he spoke like a British evil villain, it was so weird. This went on for like 15 mins while mama Nthlebi was finishing dinner.  Finally, when she comes out, she told us he was on drugs. I was like okay, that makes sense lol. But apparently, he was currently high on whatever he was taking, which was actually really sad to see.

- Other than that, nothing too much else happened. Just a normal week teaching a good group of friends. The lord is blessing Illinge for sure.

-I had the opportunity to give a member a blessing this week. She went up to the other Elders at church in Queenstown, because we were in Illinge, and was desperately asking for a blessing. So that evening as we drove home from Illinge, we stopped by her home and were able to give her a blessing. I don't want to say too much about it, but the spirit was so strong in the room while the blessing was being given. And afterwards, the sister we gave the blessing to had such a powerful sense of peace and calm about her. She stopped crying and looked like the intense pain she had been feeling was taken from her. She had the biggest smile on her face. She told us how thankful she was and we just shook her hand and left.

This experience really strengthened my testimony of the power and reality of Priesthood blessings. The spirit felt during them is just something different that you don’t feel in other places. I can stay that without a doubt God's power and authority has been restored to the earth and can be exercised by those who are worthy and have been given the opportunity and blessing to use it.

-Also, Congrats to CC Lacrosse for winning state. 3-peat!!!
