Spider Dog!
-This week was pretty good. We had Ward Conference and we had a bunch of less active members come, which was great. The stake president asked 2 questions in his talk that were pretty good. The first was: "How are you binding yourself to the Savior?" And the second was: "Are you binding yourself to the Savior correctly?". Two great questions to self-reflect on.
- Reason I titled it "spider dog" is because one day knocking on doors in Queenstown a lab sized dog jumped over a 12-15 foot fence. It was impressive! Luckily it was a chill dog. The same house we found a whole cow leg on the sidewalk, which was wack.
-We finally got all the water out of the baptismal font. Now we just have to clean all the ick from off the walls before Sunday. There is a pic below; it is mad gross.
-Training is going well. Except this week Elder Rakotomamonjy had a temper tantrum when I took the phone away from him (in a nice way) after he was on it for like 7 hours straight. That's what my mission president has told me to do as well (and we share a phone btw). Also, my guy keeps stealing my blue pens. I've found them in his bag twice, lol.
- There are rumors of a nationwide two-week power outage. So, I am praying that doesn't happen because that would suck, ha-ha.
-A few more funny things that happened this week. We saw this mama slap the crap out of this random kid. She had a crazy look in her eye. We played soccer with some kids in Illinge, I'll put a video I got at the bottom. Also, I got the most wack question the other day some young man asks me in the most passive aggressive way ha-ha "So do you think God has a gender?" I was like, bruh … Yes HE does, lol.
-Spiritual thought: 2 Nephi 4: 15-35, which is Nephi’s psalm. Specifically verse 17-18
"Nevertheless, notwithstanding the great goodness of the Lord, in showing me his great and marvelous works, my heart exclaimeth: O wretched man that I am! Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities.
I am encompassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me."
As I've been reading The Book of Mormon every day for the last little bit my testimony in it has grown so much. If you truly want to know if it's true it takes study and sincere prayer. Doing so will help you grow your testimony so strong that you'll know without a doubt that it is the word of God. I can testify that the Book of Mormon is true. What a blessing it is to know of its truthfulness!
