Pap

-The work is going well here In Elsies. Starting to be blessed with new people. Slowly but surely finding those who are prepared. Sinakho will have her Baptism Interview this coming Saturday.

-We taught a really interesting guy named Terence this week. 3 months ago, he was an alcoholic, smoking, etc., but he had an amazing experience that turned his heart back to God. He's been striving constantly down that path ever since. We had an amazing restoration lesson with him. He was really excited to get reading The Book of Mormon and to introduce us to his wife and son. I firmly believe God has been preparing him to hear our message, and I'm hopeful for Terence.

-A recent convert who's an older lady passed away in our branch this week. It was sad but grateful she was able to receive the truth before her passing. We were also asked to sing at a funeral for a sister who served in the mission home.

-Brother Mananga tried to kill us on Saturday with Pap and meat, ha-ha.

-Way too much pap again. (Pap is a traditional stable food of South Africa made into a soft or stiff porridge eaten with almost anything)

-President and Sister Stringham came to church with us this Sunday which is always a blessing.

-Our Branch Presidency was reorganized, and we got a new branch President, President Danso. Which will be good for the branch. He seems like the leader this branch needs to make it a ward.

-A member was talking to us about things that happen here and around Elsies. It got me thinking about Alma 41:10 which says, "10 Do not suppose, because it has been spoken concerning restoration, that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness. Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness."

So many are caught up in the praise of man and of the world. They fall for the evil temptations of the devil. Thinking these things will give them happiness. When in reality they damage our bodies, distance us from God, destroy our spiritual sensitivity, and kill our soul. If never repeated those sins and transgressions cause terrible suffering in the world to come. This led me to reflect on what President Russell M. Nelson was speaking about, which of course is "Thinking Celestial". The choices me make today determine where, who, and with what kind of body we will spend eternity with. Don't be selfish and before you make a decision "Think Celestial" cause it effects your own life and the lives of your future family. Strive to be like Captain Moroni
"11 And Moroni was a strong and a mighty man; he was a man of a perfect understanding; yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed; a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country, and his brethren from bondage and slavery;
12 Yea, a man whose heart did swell with thanksgiving to his God, for the many privileges and blessings which he bestowed upon his people; a man who did labor exceedingly for the welfare and safety of his people.
 13 Yea, and he was a man who was firm in the faith of Christ, and he had sworn with an oath to defend his people, his rights, and his country, and his religion, even to the loss of his blood."

The Book of Mormon is the most correct book on earth!! If you will seek its truthfulness, then its contents will never lead you astray. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
