Great Referrals And Lessons
-Brother Thomas's family is progressing great and will be baptized this next Sunday.
Kamva as well is doing awesome. It'll be sad if I leave this transfer. Because I would love to keep teaching Kamva, but we get transfer news this Friday so we'll see. Most likely I'll be leaving though.
-We had an opportunity to do some service this week. We painted a member's fence. Never painted so much until I went on a mission, lol.
-Had some interesting lessons this past week. First with Priscilla. Who when we called her said she was an "Intercessory prayer warrior" so we knew it was going to be a fun lesson. She actually was super interested and had a great understanding. So, the lesson was great, but because she was a prayer warrior I had to have her close the lesson with prayer. Man, I have never heard someone yell so loud in a prayer, especially someone who was a little lady, lol. But she was going for it, hahaha. Definitely an experience, she also started speaking gibberish. Which was speaking in tongues I suppose. Overall she's awesome though, we love her hahah.
The next lesson was with our guy Samuel. Who is a member, but when he moved from Pretoris to Cape Town he said he couldn't find the church. The lesson went great and he talked about how he wanted to get sealed to his wife if the temple. However, when we invited him to church he said he couldn't come because of his "ministry" it was really confusing. He loves the church and knows it is true but can't leave his own church he started after he was baptized in the church. It's really just because of the money he's making. But we're going to try and work with him because he really does love the church and the gospel, he's just a bit confused and misguided with how it all works.
-Our recent convert Michelle was telling us how she's thinks about serving a mission, which is so cool!
-Overall this week was just full of a ton of great referrals and lessons. We were able to have a ton of friends come to church, it's time for Elsies River Branch to become a ward.
-Also, we hiked Table Mountain again for P-day.
- Luke 12: 33-34
"Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
These verses reminded me of what President Nelson said last conference, "Think Celestial" that's what these verses are all about. It's about having that eternal perspective, to do what is most important in life and bring others with you as you go.
Church is true!
