Sho Sho

-Hey everyone, what's good. This week was powerful and we saw some amazing blessings this week in our area and zone. Transfer news came and I'll be getting a new comp. Elder Rober will be leaving and going to Gqeberha. Elder Roberts will be coming to Mdantsane with me. So excited for what the next transfer holds.

-We set a goal as a zone to have 10 member participating lessons per companionship this week and we ended up having 110. And because of that we found 3x as many new friends. Members truly are the key to the work. We have been really trying to be bold with baptismal invitations. To have our friends with a goal to work towards. As a result of doing that, this week we were able to put 5 more of our friends on baptismal date (Rebecca & Sizwe, Washington, Anele, & Sesona). There are real blessing here as the Lord is preparing His people in Mdantsane. However, we've noticed that as soon as someone has a baptismal date the adversary works twice as hard to push them off the covenant path. Just as Lehi said to Jacob in 2 Nephi 2:11 "For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things". But the Lord has a plan for each one of them, we got faith!

-Some funny things. A drunk guy saw us and got super excited and ran up to us yelling "Eldasssss!!!" And gave us the biggest bear hug. Right after an old mama came yelling "umlungu, umlungu!!". Saturday nights in Mdantsane are something else, lol. Also, we knocked on one of our friends' homes and he answered the door with absolutely no pants on. Not the best contact ever, hahaha. My favorite dog Pablo got attacked by a huge dog right in front of us, but luckily he survived.

 -My favorite missionary from Scottland, Elder Murray he's in the same district as myself, has got to be one of the funniest guys I've ever met, he's always making me laugh. He gave a training session in district council about working with members and made up some acronyms that had us dead, but are actually key to building genuine relationships with members and friends.

Let's get this party started!
Oh wow I'm excited
Come on! Quit making me laugh!
Alright
Let's get reverent

We thought it was funny ... idk lol.

- We also saw our guy Mivuyo who lives in the bush. We pulled up Saturday and bro was burning the entire field of all this tall grass in front of his yard.  He did this because he saw one snake. He's a funny kid.

-Our friend Onam is a so elect.  She is already doing missionary work and she's not even baptized yet. Wanting to take us around to all her friends in the neighborhood. Hopefully she'll be baptized soon. Unfortunately, she's not 18 yet so it might be bit. But all in God's timing.

-A scripture I want to share this week comes from 1 Corinthians 1:27-28
"27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:"

These verses have given me a lot of comfort on mission. The Lord uses those who are "foolish", "weak", & "base" according to the world to bring to pass His work. But God chooses and He sustains us when we give Him all of our heart.
