Baptized ASAP

-The last 2 weeks have been busy but fun! This past Sunday our friend Thando was baptized! He's a funny guy, idk how to explain him. But he has really been changed by the gospel from when we first started teaching him during my first week here in Mdantsane. When he just walked into church until now, there is a huge difference in him. It's amazing to see the Atonement work in the lives of our friends. 

-2 little miracle we saw this week was with our friends Andile and Unathi. Andile has been waiting and waiting to get baptized. Finally, this week he was interviewed by a member of the mission presidency and he was approved. He was beaming and wanted to get baptized as soon as possible. So next Sunday will be his baptism! With Unathi she had been wrestling with baptism for a while. We invited her again to really pray about when is the right time for her to get baptized and to get back to us on Sunday. So, on Sunday she came up to us and asked if she could be baptized that day! Unfortunately, she still has to be interviewed, but next Sunday she will be baptized as well! 

-Last week we had a taxi strike. The taxis here are crazy, lol. This one wasn't really violent at all (just a few gunshots). They were just blocking all the roads so nobody could drive anywhere. Buring tires and all that good stuff. Obviously, we weren't allowed in our area during the strike. 

- I Had my last zone conference Wednesday and gave my departing testimony, man that one hurt, hahaha. But I'm sprinting to the finish. Making the most of this last month on my mission. 

-Today we're flying to Cape Town for a meeting with Elder Aidukaitis for mission leadership council before he tours the mission. Should be powerful. 

- Alma 33:11 " And thou didst hear me because of mine afflictions and my sincerity; and it is because of thy Son that thou hast been thus merciful unto me, therefore I will cry unto thee in all mine afflictions, for in thee is my joy; for thou hast turned thy judgments away from me, because of thy Son."
