"Quick" Update
-On Wednesday we flew to Cape Town for Mission Leadership Council. It was a ton of fun and super powerful as usual. We discussed a lot about these new standards that have been set for all South African missions.
-Onam, Live, and Zukanye are doing great, they're progressing really well.
- Rebecca and Sizwe we are still waiting for them to get legally married. Same with Borin, except the problem with him Is he's from Zimbabwe. So he'll have to go back to get the legal papers, which won't happen until December. However, we are working on a faster solution with the Bishop.
-Unathi and Washington should be baptized on the 12th! We also put our friend Dimakatso on date for Baptism on the 26th of May. The Lord is blessing these wonderful people!
-On an exchange this week our bike lock broke, it wouldn't unlock. We were just stranded in the middle of these shacks lol. So Elder De Villiers, our Senior couple missionaries, had to come save us. He came with his big bolt cutters. After he arrived, in less than 2 mins, a drunk guy came and tried taking the bolt cutter from him insisting he be the one to cut the lock.
-Mosiah 4:11-12
"11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true."
These 2 verses spoke to me a lot and will be a theme for me as I head home soon. It's all about life-long discipleship.
