Quick, Mason

- Another good week in Mdantsane. The work is moving fast here, so it's keeping us busy. A highlight of the week was that we had MLC this week. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go to Cape Town this time around as it was via zoom. But it was still powerful. We talked a lot about our mission goals for 2024, as well as how to develop the faith to achieve those goals. After the meeting Elder Roberts and I went and walked in the pouring rain for a couple hours, it was one of those days, lol. But hey, honestly, it was super nice,  it's a lot better than the usual humidity and heat. When the rain is coming down that hard the only people we saw outside were the young boys, they make these makeshift carts out of scrap wood and random wheels of all sizes, put an old school chair on top then take it to the top of the hill and just send it. hahaha.  -Our friend Washington is an interesting guy. We've been working with him for quite a while now. He just randomly one day came to churc...

-This week was transfers and I got my new comp: Elder Roberts. We had a couple busy days picking up and moving different Elders to their new areas. It's fun to see all the new missionaries coming into the zone. Especially the greenies! The new Elders always look so shook. It makes me remember what it was like to be a new missionary. But, funny story, as we left the airport with the new missionaries and we drove through the center of town, which is a sketchy place. This day it was even worse, one of the very first things these fresh, green as can be missionaries saw was a drunk, big, old mama going number 2 right by the road! Elder Roberts and I just told them, "Welcome to South Africa!" Hahaha.  -Our friend Onam. We've been teaching her and her family, and we taught them the restoration as a family. It went super well. Both Onams older brothers, Live and Zukanye, came to church the following day. They loved it and said that it was where they want to be. Super powerful...

-Hey everyone, what's good. This week was powerful and we saw some amazing blessings this week in our area and zone. Transfer news came and I'll be getting a new comp. Elder Rober will be leaving and going to Gqeberha. Elder Roberts will be coming to Mdantsane with me. So excited for what the next transfer holds.  -We set a goal as a zone to have 10 member participating lessons per companionship this week and we ended up having 110. And because of that we found 3x as many new friends. Members truly are the key to the work. We have been really trying to be bold with baptismal invitations. To have our friends with a goal to work towards. As a result of doing that, this week we were able to put 5 more of our friends on baptismal date (Rebecca & Sizwe, Washington, Anele, & Sesona).
