This week we had zone conference on Tuesday. It was powerful, President Stringham is definitely inspired. I'll probably be getting a new companion next transfer which is sad because I love being with Elder Rober. We've been able to work hard together plus we get along really well.  But we'll see what happens Friday.  -We found a guy who thought we were satanic, that was interesting, but we were able to explain what we believed and share our testimonies with him. Whether or not he comes to church at least he understands it's the Church of Jesus Christ now. Interesting to me how someone can see something so clearly lead and inspired by God and think it to be evil.  -We put our guy Washington on baptismal date! -The funeral services finished this week. It was interesting being at a Xhosa funeral. They really like to spontaneously burst out into singing and yelling, lol. Definitely entertaining.  -We've been having 20 or more friends that we are teaching come to church ...

-The last 2 weeks have been really busy. We have put some of our friends on baptismal date. Working to help them reach that goal in April. -We did some exchanges with the East London-2 Elders and went up to King William's Town. It was fun going up to King and seeing those Elders that I've been friends with for a long time.  -We did some yard work for some members cleaning out their gutters. It was actually really satisfying, not gonna lie, I kinda miss doing yard work.  -Our buddy Andile unfortunately is going to have his baptism moved back until further notice due to an issue that came up in his interview. So that was really unfortunate, but he is still really excited and progressing forward.  -So, it turns out our friend Siya is actually a Sangoma. Which is a traditional Zulu healer. Some of them are good and then some Sangoma's are not so good as they practice Voodoo. But with Siya, he's a good dude/Sangoma. However, every time we see him, he seems to become more San...

Too Hot

This week had a lot going on. I've been sweating pretty much the entire week. On Wednesday my companion and I flew back to Cape Town for a meeting and then flew back on Thursday. On Saturday, I went on exchanges to the more rural part of Mdantsane, it was fun but just super-hot. Almost every house we stopped at offered us water or juice, that was definitely a tender mercy.  The people in Mdantsane are very kind. I was with Elder Anjaramampianina, yes that is his actual name, lol. He's from Madagascar. He really likes learning slang words in English, so I taught him a few words as we walked. He is really an amazing example to me of faith, trust, and dedication to the Lord. While he's been on mission, just a short 4 months, both his parents sadly passed away. He was telling me how hard it has been for him, but that he knew this is where he needs to be. He has amazing faith. -Honestly, I haven't had a crazy amount of time in my new area so I'm still getting settled wit...
